Who are we?

We are small but committed family that want to do our bit to help reduce climate change, and make a difference by doing something.

Dad and I joined the Nelson NZ March in 2019, and since then we have been thinking about ways we can help. Dad already works in Conservation, he has planted a lot of trees, and continues to looking after our native species. Mum is bomb on our recycling, she makes sure we buy stuff that reduces our waste, and at the other end sorts our recycling. We have a family garden, and are now eating a lot more plant based foods - shout out to Nadia Lims cookbook.

 

Why 'Keep The Momentum'

We want people to take action, to do something themselves but we also want to raise the profile of the great messages that came out of the climate change marches - how do we ensure these are kept alive, and in peoples minds. And thats where 'Keep The Momentum' was born - people need to be connected with many times through information and expereinces before they will make a change. We think keeping the messages alive is an important next step. One that could change the way we march into the future, the way we represent our values and show others that we as indivuduals are passionate towards the greater good. 

 

How can you help?

Most of us wear clothing - this is an opportunity for you to continue to raise awareness for climate change. We think T-Shirts are comfy, easy to wear, and so if we could produce a quality T with a quality message you would get good mileage out of it, and without evening saying anything - you will connect with someone and have them think about their day to day actions.

Buy one for your parents, friends, or work collegues. the more we get out there the more we will Keep the Momentum.

 

The Messages 

We just loved all the signs and messages from the marches all around the globe - some of them made us laugh, others made us a bit sad.

We have selected a bunch that we think you will enjoy, that you will stand in and be proud to wear. We wanted to show the sign, this is an important part - it shows unity, strength, and courage.

 

 Contribution to the Cause

Keep the Momentum is about raising the awareness of climate change. But we also want to take action - so 25% of the proceeds from each T- shirt will go directly to a climate change cause - we think the natural world is being affected the most right now - so we believe Conservation, which is generally under funded, would benefit from our contribution.  We are just deciding who that might be now.

The more Tees we sell the more money we raise - so we would be grateful for your support in sharing the concept or gifting Tees.

 

Why Digitees

Digitees have a strong policy towards sustainable business, they help other businesses (they are hosting this website), they ship direct to you (saving additonal transport, packaging etc) they send goods in a new 100% biodegradable courier bag (outstanding eh) and they have some good principals about where they source there cotton from, who makes the Tees etc. This is important ffor us, and importnat for you to understand - You can buy cheap tees with messgaes on them - Keep The Momentum are doing every thing we can to provide a sustainable product. And we will continue to aim for improvements as we grow.

 

By wearing one of our shirts, you are contributing to the good of the planet by raising awarness to others around you. We can have a bright and positive future but we need to make a difference to the world we call home.
